Ohana Martial Arts
August 2020 Newsletter
We really appreciate all of you doing your part to keep our school healthy and safe! We will be continuing the safety protocols for all of August (and probably longer). PLEASE remember some of the most important issues right now such as:
1. Please advise us if you have traveled 2. Stay home if you are sick
3. Follow the sanitizing and safety guideline requirements at the dojo.
Please note we have placed tape on the training floor that separates students at a required safe distance (6 feet). We have strict limits on class size, so you MUST call or text Sensei Anita at (808) 276-2621. Please let her know of your training schedule (day and times) for EACH week. Please also be advised that public schools will return this month, so we have a revised schedule for August as followed:
Monday— Friday Schedule:
4:00 pm—4:45 pm (Beginners)
5:00 pm—5:45 pm (BBC)
6:00 pm — 6:45 pm (BBC + Beginners)
We are also looking at providing home training on Zoom (you would follow your class at home live) and we will offering private classes! All this will be available for your same monthly dues. If you are interested in private classes, please call for more information. Once we have a list we will start scheduling days and times.
Now that students are returning to their schools, we will be performing temperature checks on our martial arts students and parents at the front door. We will advise everyone if they are safe to enter the school.
GOOD NEWS! We have the approval of the Governor and Mayor to keep our dojo operating at the excellent level of safety we have. Businesses are not subject to any restrictions on social gatherings because of safety measures already in place. Social get-togethers outside the dojo will be reduced by the county sometime soon.
STRIPING (green stripes): August 26th, 27th, 28th
