Ohana Martial Arts
April 2020 Newsletter
To all our students and families, we sincerely hope you are all well and safe. Never before have we faced such a community and worldwide problem as we do now. Please know we are thinking of you all, and can’t wait until we can get back on schedule with training, jobs, school, sports, community events and social gatherings. Please follow the county and state requirements, it will keep you, your family, and everyone else safe from infection. Please feel free to text or call Sensei Anita or me for any help or information (808) 276-2621.
We love you all as our Ohana. We are closed as of now through April 30th, the same schedule as the D.O.E. Please know that striping and testing will be back on track in May. Everyone will get credits for classes all through April.
We are posting training online on BAND (App you can download it for free). Please check us out on MON- WED- FRI at 5 pm. Follow along to stay in shape as it is really important to do 10-15 minutes of training every day. You’ll feel better and when we get back to regular classes, you can catch up quicker! Also, send us some videos of you doing your forms, and kicks to our Ohana Martial Arts Facebook page. We’ve already received quite a few, and are very proud of you guys. KEEP TRAINING!!.
For those students who paid for Testing in March, we will apply it to the test in late May (or maybe in June). We’re really hoping for the best right now, but it’s very hard to plan long term. We will be back at Ohana Martial Arts as soon as we can! We’re praying for the beginning of May.
Of course we will not require any DUES for the month of April. All AUTO-PAYMENTS will be suspended and we won’t start charging until the school is back open. We know so many people are out of work right now and we really sympathize with you. We are in the same situation, and are doing everything we can to still pay all the expenses to keep the school open. Some of our students are donating dues (or whatever they can) to help their school at this time, and we can’t tell you how much that means to us. Please do everything to stay safe and well!! We will be back soon. You can call or text Sensei Anita for any help or info at 276-2621.
